Brittany Allen, Jeff Kober Earn Emmy Noms After Self-Submitting

The entertainment industry is buzzing with the success stories of Brittany Allen and Jeff Kober, the King and Queen of Emmy self-submissions. When HBO Max initially left out their performances in “The Pitt” from their official Emmy submissions, Allen and Kober took matters into their own hands and self-submitted for consideration in the guest acting categories.

Allen, known for her role as Roxy, a terminal cancer patient, and Kober, nominated for his role as Duke, a zen biker friend of Dr. Robby, have now become the most distinctive success stories of the day. Their self-submissions added two more nominations to the already impressive 25 nominations for “The Pitt,” making it the leading series of the year.

For Allen, this recognition has already started reshaping her career. Winning a Daytime Emmy earlier in her career for a self-submitted role on “All My Children,” Allen understands the power of believing in oneself. She encourages aspiring performers to keep honing their craft and not let rejections deter them from pursuing their dreams.

On the other hand, Kober, with over four decades of experience in the industry, sees his nomination as a culmination of years of hard work. His decision to self-submit was driven by a desire to have his work seen, regardless of the outcome. He remains grounded and focused on the craft of acting, finding validation from within rather than seeking external approval.

As both nominees head into the next phase of the campaign, they are grateful for the recognition and the doors it has opened for them. “The Pitt” now stands as a frontrunner with a total of 25 nominations, thanks in part to the self-submissions of Allen and Kober. The final round of voting will take place in August, leading up to the Emmy Awards ceremony in September.

The success of Allen and Kober serves as a reminder to aspiring actors that perseverance and self-belief can lead to remarkable achievements in the competitive world of entertainment. The industry has now taken notice of these two talented performers, solidifying their places as Emmy contenders and further establishing “The Pitt” as a standout series in the television landscape.
