Brown University shooting suspect identified by cops after dayslong manhunt, warrant out for arrest

After a six-day manhunt, authorities have finally identified a suspect in the Brown University shooting that resulted in the deaths of two students and injuries to nine others. The perpetrator, who remains unnamed by officials, managed to escape after opening fire in a classroom on the campus in Providence, Rhode Island.

Despite releasing multiple grainy surveillance images of the suspect, law enforcement struggled to track him down in the days following the tragic incident. The lack of clear information hindered the progress of the investigation, leaving the community on edge as the suspect remained at large.

Despite Brown University’s extensive security camera network across its campus, no cameras were present in the area where the shooting occurred within the Barus & Holley building, adding to the difficulties in identifying the suspect.
