One of the most intriguing aspects of the ongoing Diddy-Cassie saga has been unveiled at the music mogul’s federal criminal trial. Cassie revealed that she reached a staggering $20 million settlement in her lawsuit against Diddy.

Federal prosecutor Emily Johnson delved into Cassie’s testimony on the third day of the trial in New York City. The focus shifted towards a book that Cassie authored detailing the alleged abuse she endured from her former long-time boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Cassie testified that she collaborated with her mother to write a book with chapters that she wanted Diddy to read. Despite sending the chapters to Diddy through her attorney, he did not take the book seriously.

When questioned about the book’s value, Cassie disclosed that she requested $30 million. Subsequently, she filed a lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023 and settled for $20 million within 24 hours.

The 2023 lawsuit filed by Cassie in federal court accused the Bad Boy Records CEO of past sexual assault and coercing her into “Freak-Offs” during their decade-long relationship. Prosecutors defined these acts as elaborate and produced sex performances orchestrated by Combs.

As per recent developments, Diddy was indicted in September 2024 on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and facilitating prostitution. The trial is currently in its second week, with Cassie providing insights into their turbulent romance.
