Chris Jericho’s role in Vikings schedule release video led to ‘great reaction’

Chris Jericho was pleasantly surprised when he was asked to be a part of the Minnesota Vikings’ schedule release video for the upcoming season. The AEW star, known for his wrestling career, has developed a close relationship with the Vikings organization due to his wife and son being avid fans of the team. Jericho, at 55 years old, has also become a supporter of the Vikings, making his involvement in the schedule release video even more special.

Jericho thought he was just going to Minnesota to do a simple voice-over read for the video, but he soon realized that he was being asked to do much more than that. NFL teams often look for creative ways to announce their schedules each year, and the Vikings’ video was no exception. Jericho was cast as a waiter in the video, serving Vikings kicker Will Reichard a 17-course meal representing all the teams Minnesota will play next season. The video was a hit, with Jericho making witty comments throughout and Reichard ultimately ordering all the courses after a call from teammate Justin Jefferson.

Aside from his wrestling career, Jericho has been actively pursuing acting roles in recent years. He returned to AEW in April after a year away and has since landed roles in TV shows like CBS’s “Tracker” and Apple TV’s “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” Jericho also teased a role in the upcoming season of “Dexter: Resurrection” and hinted at being a part of a “really big show on Amazon” with a significant role.

With his momentum building in the acting world, Jericho is excited to explore new opportunities and dive headfirst into this creative endeavor. He acknowledges his commitments to AEW but is eager to fill his time with other projects that allow him to showcase his talents outside of wrestling. As he continues to expand his horizons in the entertainment industry, Jericho is confident that his acting career will flourish just like his wrestling career, Fozzy music endeavors, and popular podcast “Talk is Jericho.”
