Crocs, Hollister drop singer D4vd after rotting corpse found inside his Tesla

Crocs and Hollister have decided to remove pop star D4vd from their recent marketing campaigns following a disturbing discovery. A decomposing body was found in a Tesla registered to his name at a Los Angeles tow yard, prompting the brands to pull promotional images of D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke, from their websites and social media pages. The joint statement released to Footwear News confirmed that the companies are aware of the situation and have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues.

The “Dream Drop” collaboration campaign, which showcased D4vd modeling Crocs clogs and Hollister apparel, debuted on Sept. 3. However, in light of the ongoing investigation, the brands have taken a precautionary step to distance themselves from the situation. Scott Krady, founder and CEO of Magnitude, expressed understanding of the decision, noting the potential impact on Crocs and Hollister’s reputations.

The LAPD was alerted to the discovery of human remains in the trunk of the Tesla, leading to a detailed investigation. The victim, described as a woman with distinct features, has yet to be identified publicly. Despite the unsettling circumstances, D4vd has not commented on the situation or his removal from the campaign. His label has also remained silent on the matter.

As the investigation unfolds, the LAPD has clarified that no arrests have been made, and further details will be disclosed pending the coroner’s report. The case remains open as authorities work to unravel the mystery surrounding the grim discovery.
