D4vd eyed as suspect in death of teen found dismembered in his Tesla
Singer D4vd is currently under suspicion in connection with the tragic death of a young runaway teen, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose dismembered body was found in the trunk of his abandoned Tesla. Authorities are focusing their investigation on the 20-year-old songwriter, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, and believe that he may have been involved in the teen’s demise. It is speculated that D4vd may have had assistance in concealing the body in his car, as well as in the dismemberment process, as it would have required multiple individuals to carry out such a gruesome act.
The exact role of D4vd and other potential suspects in Hernandez’s death is currently being determined by law enforcement. They are also exploring whether Hernandez’s death was a result of foul play or if it could have been due to circumstances such as an overdose. However, the medical examiner’s efforts to determine the cause of death have been hampered by the advanced state of decomposition of Hernandez’s remains.
Hernandez’s body was discovered wrapped in plastic on the day following what would have been her 15th birthday, after D4vd’s Tesla was towed to a lot in Hollywood Hills. The car had been parked on a street in the area for an undetermined period, as it had received a parking ticket approximately two weeks prior. Employees at the tow lot reported a foul odor emanating from the vehicle, leading to the discovery of the teen’s remains.
Hernandez, who had a history of running away from home and was reported missing in early 2024, is believed to have passed away sometime in the spring. Despite ongoing investigations, D4vd has reportedly been uncooperative with law enforcement. Connections between the teen and the pop star have emerged during the course of the investigation, including old messages on D4vd’s Discord fan server that hinted at a past relationship with a teen named “Celeste.” Additionally, D4vd had recorded an unreleased track where he mentioned the name “Celeste” twice, and Hernandez’s mother mentioned that the teen had been dating someone named “David.”
The Los Angeles Police Department has not officially confirmed whether D4vd is being treated as a suspect in the case. The tragic death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez continues to be a subject of intense scrutiny as authorities work to uncover the truth behind this heartbreaking incident.
