‘DMV’ Guest Stars List Includes Leslie Jones; Jessica Camacho Recurs
Leslie Jones and Other Guest Stars Set for Season 1 of CBS Comedy “DMV”
Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Leslie Jones is among the guest stars slated to appear in Season 1 of CBS’ new comedy “DMV,” as announced by the network. Joining her are Zoe Lister-Jones, Chelsea Frei, and former WNBA player Renee Montgomery, with Jessica Camacho taking on a recurring role in the series.
“DMV” made its debut on Oct. 13 and is airing its second episode tonight. The show follows the lives of employees at the fictional “East Hollywood” branch of the Department of Motor Vehicles, where they navigate minimum wage jobs while dealing with perpetually irate customers.
Starring in “DMV” are Harriet Dyer, Tim Meadows, Tony Cavalero, Molly Kearney, Alex Tarrant, and Gigi Zumbado. The series was developed by Dana Klein and is based on a short story by Katherine Heiny. CBS has already ordered a full season of seven additional episodes, bringing the total to 20 for the year.
Leslie Jones will portray Sally, the enthusiastic executive assistant to the Director of the California DMV, in an upcoming episode of “DMV.” Other guest stars include Zoe Lister-Jones as Dr. Jacobs, Chelsea Frei as Amber, and Jessica Camacho in a recurring role as Surfer Mary.
Aside from her role in “DMV,” Leslie Jones is set to premiere her comedy special, “Leslie Jones: Life Part 2,” on Peacock this Friday. Zoe Lister-Jones has also appeared in “Beau is Afraid,” while Chelsea Frei has been seen in “Poker Face” and Jessica Camacho in “All Rise.” Renee Montgomery is a TNT basketball analyst and co-owner of the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream.
Randall Park, known for his role in “Fresh Off the Boat,” will guest star as Beau Young, the manager of the rival North Hollywood DMV in an upcoming episode of “DMV.” The series is produced by CBS Studios and executive produced by Dana Klein, Matt Kuhn, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, and Robyn Meisinger.
