‘Entourage’ creator backs Spencer Pratt for LA mayor
Doug Ellin, the creator of the popular show “Entourage,” recently went on a passionate tirade about the state of Los Angeles, expressing his concerns about the city’s safety and voicing his support for Spencer Pratt’s mayoral campaign.
In a video posted on Instagram, Ellin lamented the “collapse” of Los Angeles in the past five years, citing a personal experience of his Beverly Hills home being burglarized in 2023. He emphasized the need for change and expressed his frustration with the current state of the city.
The TV producer criticized a recent article from the Los Angeles Times that highlighted low crime rates, arguing that his neighborhood and many others are experiencing a surge in break-ins, prompting residents to beef up security measures.
Acknowledging his role in glorifying the city through his work on “Entourage,” Ellin emphasized the importance of addressing the issues plaguing Los Angeles and called for action to improve the situation.
Ellin threw his support behind Spencer Pratt’s mayoral campaign, praising Pratt for making crime and homelessness central issues in his platform. Pratt has vowed to tackle these problems head-on and end taxpayer-funded programs that he believes have exacerbated the city’s issues.
As the race for mayor heats up between Pratt, incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, and Councilmember Nithya Raman, Ellin’s public endorsement comes at a critical time. Recent polls show Pratt surging in popularity, with voters citing concerns about homelessness, affordability, and the overall direction of Los Angeles as reasons for supporting a change in leadership.
With the mayoral election looming, Pratt’s campaign has gained momentum, setting the stage for a tight race against Mayor Bass. As voters prepare to cast their ballots, the future of Los Angeles hangs in the balance, with the outcome of the election likely to shape the city’s trajectory in the coming years.
