Exclusive | Socialite Tatyana Remley’s ex-friend has ‘no remorse’ about her suicide
The late California socialite Tatyana Remley has been described as a "narcissistic gold digger obsessed with her looks" by a Las Vegas performer who worked with her. Erik Martonovich, who was part of a failed equestrian show run by Remley, shared insights into her personality and behavior.
Remley tragically took her own life outside the Princess Pub & Grille in San Diego’s Little Italy. Prior to her death, she had called her estranged husband, Mark Remley, to complain about her new partner. This incident occurred after she had been convicted in August 2023 of orchestrating a hit on her ex-husband’s life. She had also faced charges of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and possessing a firearm in public, to which she pleaded guilty and served a year of her nearly four-year prison sentence.
Martonovich described Remley as a "narcissistic gold digger" who based her entire persona on her looks. He mentioned that she may have been struggling with losing her looks, which could have influenced her decision to end her life. Additionally, he recalled her and her husband as unpleasant individuals, referring to them as "a**holes" and noting that karma had caught up with them.
Martonovich also shed light on Remley’s failed equestrian show, "Valitar," which she and her husband abruptly shut down, leaving performers and their horses stranded in California. He criticized her business acumen, calling her a "moron" in that regard. Furthermore, he revealed that she once propositioned him for a sexual encounter with her husband watching, a proposal he declined.
Regarding Remley’s death, Martonovich expressed skepticism about the circumstances leading to her suicide. He found it suspicious that she called her ex-husband to complain before taking such a drastic step. He speculated that Mark Remley’s tendency to always say yes to her requests may have contributed to the situation. Martonovich also mentioned that Remley was known to be a heavy drinker and suggested she may have been involved in other substances as well.
Despite the tragic end to Remley’s life, Martonovich expressed no remorse. He mentioned being interviewed for a documentary about the Remleys and shared that he had heard rumors about Mark Remley’s drug use affecting his cognitive functions. Ultimately, Martonovich lamented that Remley would not be able to witness the documentary where he candidly discussed his opinions about her and her husband.
