First Footage of Emma Corrin, Jack Lowden

Netflix has unveiled a sneak peek at their upcoming series “Pride and Prejudice,” featuring Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy. Adapted by Dolly Alderton, known for “Everything I Know About Love,” the six-episode series is set to premiere this fall. The aim is to stay true to Jane Austen’s beloved story while captivating a new audience.

The teaser released by Netflix gives us a glimpse of Corrin’s Elizabeth enjoying a sunset and blushing at the sound of galloping, followed by Lowden’s Darcy arriving on horseback. Directed by Euros Lyn, known for “Heartstopper,” the series boasts a star-studded cast including Olivia Colman, Rufus Sewell, Freya Mavor, and more.

Executive producers include Laura Lankester, Will Johnston, and Louise Mutter, along with Alderton, Lyn, and Corrin in their first production roles. Alderton expressed her excitement about being part of this retelling of “Pride and Prejudice,” highlighting how Austen’s work serves as a blueprint for romantic comedy.
