Florida woman Caroline Shaw arrested near Mar-a-Lago security checkpoint after saying she had an ‘urgent message’ for President Trump

A woman named Caroline Shaw was arrested after approaching Mar-a-Lago with an “urgent message” for President Donald Trump and claiming that there were guns inside her vehicle. Shaw, 49, of Orlando, was detained on July 7 for driving with a suspended license and failing to register her vehicle, as per court documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

On the night of the incident, Trump was in Washington, D.C., when Shaw drove her Mercedes van to the south gate of Mar-a-Lago and parked along Southern Boulevard. She then approached the gate and informed US Secret Service agents that she needed to speak with Trump urgently and mentioned the presence of guns in her vehicle.

Following Shaw’s claim, agents took her into custody and secured the vehicle pending further investigation. It was not disclosed whether guns were actually found inside Shaw’s vehicle. Records revealed that Shaw’s driver’s license had been suspended since April 23, 2023, due to unpaid traffic fines, and her car’s registration had expired in December 2021.

As of July 9, Shaw remained in custody at the Palm Beach County Jail on a $2,000 bond. During a court appearance on July 8, she entered a not-guilty plea and was prohibited by a judge from going near Trump, Mar-a-Lago, or any of his properties. Palm Beach Police also filed a request for a risk protection order to prevent Shaw from possessing guns or ammunition for at least one year.

Shaw’s arrest is part of a series of recent security incidents involving individuals attempting to access Mar-a-Lago. Zijie Li, Farbod Dolat, Patrick Webster Warren, Ruby Rodriguez, and other individuals have been arrested for various offenses related to their behavior on or near the estate.

These incidents highlight the ongoing security challenges faced by Mar-a-Lago and the need for heightened vigilance to protect the property and its occupants. Security measures have been put in place to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of President Trump and other individuals associated with the estate.
