Fox Entertainment Signs Jeffrey Levine and Bronson Canyon Pictures
Fox Entertainment Studios has recently announced a new partnership with entertainment executive Jeffrey Levine and his production company, Bronson Canyon Pictures. This multi-year first-look deal will see Levine developing and producing scripted television series for broadcast, streaming, and emerging digital platforms under the studio’s banner.
One of Levine’s first projects under this agreement will be the adaptation of literary works, including the upcoming thriller “Rifle Season” by Pat Kelly and the historical noir novel “Darktown” by Thomas Mullen, which was originally released in 2016.
Hannah Pillemer, head of scripted at Fox Entertainment Studios, expressed excitement about working with Levine, praising his creative talent, industry relationships, and knack for identifying compelling stories that resonate with audiences. She highlighted Levine’s choice of literary IP for adaptation and looks forward to collaborating with him as he builds a diverse and talent-driven slate under the Bronson Canyon banner.
Prior to founding Bronson Canyon Pictures, Levine held the position of Senior Vice President of Scripted Development at Fremantle, where he worked on projects such as “American Gods” and “Little Bird.” He also has experience at Paula Weinstein’s Spring Creek Productions and has worked on acclaimed projects like HBO’s “Too Big to Fail” and Warner Bros.’ “This Is Where I Leave You.”
Levine expressed enthusiasm about joining Fox Entertainment Studios and praised the team for their support and collaboration as they venture into acquiring, developing, and packaging projects for the streaming and global market. He emphasized the goal of creating distinctive and high-quality content together.
Levine’s extensive industry experience includes executive roles at Castle Rock Entertainment, TNT, and The Zanuck Company, with his career beginning at The Goldwyn Company. He is represented by Seth Michael at Myman Greenspan Fineman Fox Rosenberg & Light.
