PARIS — France’s Navy, alongside intelligence from the United Kingdom, successfully seized an oil tanker in the Mediterranean Sea that originated from Russia. This operation was specifically aimed at the sanctioned Russian shadow fleet, as reported by officials.
Authorities in the Mediterranean region suspect that the vessel, named the Grinch, was operating under a false flag. The French Navy is currently escorting the ship to port for further examination and verification, according to a statement released by French maritime authorities.
