Google Pixel 11 Pro & XL Design Leak Shows Missing Temperature Sensor

The latest leaks from Tech Advisor have revealed the designs of the upcoming Google Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL, expected to launch in August 2026. These new models are set to feature the powerful Tensor G6 chipset, promising enhanced performance and capabilities.

The leaked CAD renders show that the Pixel 11 Pro design closely resembles its predecessor, the Pixel 10 Pro, with minimal changes. The most noticeable difference is the all-black camera bar, replacing the previous metal section. However, one significant feature appears to be missing from the new designs – the unique infrared temperature sensor. This sensor, located within the camera bar, allowed users to measure the temperature of various objects using the Thermometer app. Its absence may disappoint fans who appreciated this distinctive Pixel feature.

Despite the omission of the temperature sensor, the overall design of the Pixel 11 Pro remains largely unchanged from the Pixel 10 Pro. The dimensions are consistent, measuring 152.7 x 71.8 mm and slightly thinner at 8.4mm. The frame of the device is expected to have a glossy finish, similar to the previous model.

Similarly, the Pixel 11 Pro XL design mirrors that of the Pixel 10 Pro XL, with only minor differences. The leaked images suggest that the temperature sensor is also missing from the XL model, raising questions about Google’s decision to exclude this feature. The dimensions of the Pixel 11 Pro XL are reported to be 162.7 x 76.5 x 8.5mm, making it identical in size to its predecessor.

With the Pixel 10 Pro Fold design already leaked earlier, all eyes are now on the Pixel 11 Pro XL, which is expected to be a larger version of the 11 Pro. The entire Pixel 11 series is anticipated to launch in August 2026, powered by the new Tensor G6 chipset. Rumors suggest that the Pro model will retain its 6.3-inch display, offering users a high-quality viewing experience.

One key question surrounding the Pixel 11 series is whether Google will increase the base storage to 256GB and if there will be a price hike compared to previous models. As the launch date approaches, more details about the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL are expected to surface, giving consumers a better understanding of what to expect from Google’s latest flagship devices.
