The 2025 Emmys ceremony came to a close with “The Studio” emerging as the top show of the year, clinching a total of 13 trophies. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s entertainment industry comedy had a stellar night, already securing nine awards at the Creative Arts Emmys prior to the Primetime Emmys. At the Primetime Emmys, it added four more wins to its tally, including outstanding comedy series, lead comedy actor for Rogen, comedy directing, and comedy writing. The Creative Arts wins spanned various categories such as guest comedy actor, casting, cinematography, and more.

Following closely behind was “The Penguin,” which snagged one Primetime Emmy for lead limited series actress Cristin Milioti and a total of nine awards after also winning eight at the Creative Arts Emmys. Tied for third place with eight wins each were “Adolescence,” “Severance,” and “SNL50: The Anniversary Special.”

Netflix and HBO/HBO Max tied as the most successful platforms of the year, with HBO and HBO Max benefitting significantly from the success of “The Penguin.” Netflix’s standout titles included “Arcane” and “Love Death + Robots,” while Apple TV+ also made a mark with wins from “The Studio” and “Severance.”

NBC stood out as the highest-ranking broadcast network of the night thanks to the success of “SNL50: The Anniversary Special,” with Disney+ following closely behind. Disney’s wins were bolstered by titles like “Andor” and music documentaries about John Williams and the Beatles. However, FX, which was the top network at the previous year’s Emmys, saw a decline in wins this year with only two wins from “Welcome to Wrexham.”
