Heartless dognappers caught on tape stealing Labradoodles from SoCal car
A distressing incident recently unfolded in Southern California, leaving a pet owner devastated and heartbroken. Esma Bohannon experienced every pet owner’s worst nightmare when her two beloved Labradoodles, Coco Chanel and Taco, were snatched from her parked car in broad daylight. The chilling scene was captured on surveillance video, adding to the anguish of the situation.
Bohannon had left her dogs, aged 7 and 3 respectively, inside her car in Encinitas while she quickly ran errands. She took precautions by rolling down the windows and leaving a bowl of water inside the vehicle to ensure the dogs wouldn’t overheat. However, her worst fears came true when two unidentified women approached her car, removed the dogs, and loaded them into their own vehicle.
The heart-wrenching moment was captured on video, showing the women swiftly taking the dogs from Bohannon’s car. The footage has been replayed numerous times by the devastated dog owner, who expressed shock and terror at the incident. Bohannon described the feeling of helplessness and disbelief as she watched her beloved pets being taken away.
Despite wearing tags with Bohannon’s phone number, neither Coco Chanel nor Taco have been found in shelters or humane societies. Bohannon has filed a report with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office and is pleading for anyone with information to come forward. She remains hopeful that the dogs were taken with good intentions, perhaps out of concern for their well-being in the heat.
The loss of her two furry companions has left Bohannon inconsolable, and all she desires is to have them safely returned. She is urging the public to assist in bringing Coco Chanel and Taco back home, emphasizing that their well-being is her top priority. The community’s support and cooperation are crucial in reuniting Bohannon with her beloved pets, offering a glimmer of hope in an otherwise heartbreaking situation.
