Hero dad rescues 11-year-old daughter from perv who dragged her into a remote area of NYC Park: cops

A brave father rescued his 11-year-old daughter from a horrifying ordeal in Queens park on Monday. The duo was biking through Forest Park when the girl rode ahead and was attacked by a man named Teddy Moussignac, who tried to sexually assault her. Moussignac reportedly grabbed the girl, covered her mouth and nose, and threatened her before dragging her into a secluded area of the park.

The father, who caught up to the scene, quickly intervened, shouting and running over to stop the attacker. Moussignac fled but was apprehended shortly after by police officers in the vicinity. He was charged with kidnapping, sex abuse, assault, and other offenses related to the incident. The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Reports indicate that Moussignac has a prior arrest, although the details are sealed. The incident has left the community shaken, with one local parent expressing concerns about safety in the park. Brandon Ziegenfuss, a resident in the area, mentioned encountering “crazy people” in the more remote sections of the park and feeling uneasy about the lack of police presence in those areas.

Ziegenfuss highlighted the disparities in policing, noting that law enforcement seemed more focused on protecting the upscale areas of the park rather than addressing issues in other parts. Despite the challenges, he acknowledged the reality of the situation, stating, “That’s the way the world works. What are you going to do?”

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and community awareness in ensuring safety in public spaces. It also underscores the heroism displayed by the father in protecting his daughter from harm. The community is grateful for his quick actions and the swift response of law enforcement in apprehending the perpetrator.
