Huawei Watch GT6 Series Announced With Huge Battery Life

Huawei has recently unveiled its latest flagship smartwatches, the Watch GT6 series, boasting impressive battery life capabilities. The 46mm versions of the Huawei Watch GT6 and the Huawei Watch GT6 Pro are equipped with an advanced high-silicon stacked battery, offering a 65% increase in capacity compared to the previous Watch GT5 series. With this enhancement, both 46mm variants can potentially last up to 21 days on a single charge with light usage, while the smaller 41mm version of the regular Huawei Watch GT6 can still manage a respectable 14 days.

In comparison, the Apple Watch Series 11 only provides an estimated 38-hour battery life in Low Power mode, making Huawei’s claims quite remarkable. The new watches also come with a range of features that cater to fitness enthusiasts and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

The Huawei Watch GT6 Pro stands out for its premium design, featuring materials such as sapphire glass, aviation-grade titanium alloy, and nanocrystal ceramic. It is available in brown, titanium, and black color options. The Pro model also sports a sleek raised timing bezel and a 5.5% larger display with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. On the other hand, the regular Huawei Watch GT6 comes in green, brown, and black for the 46mm variant, and purple, white, black, brown, and gold for the 41mm model.

One of the key fitness features of the Huawei Watch GT6 series is the inclusion of cycling virtual power, a feature that provides cyclists with precise measurements of riding intensity in real-time. The watches also offer enhanced capabilities for trail running, skiing, and golf, along with the new Sunflower Positioning System for ultra-precise GPS readings. The TruSense system enables comprehensive health tracking, including cardiovascular monitoring and a new HRV metric for real-time assessment of training status.

Additionally, Huawei announced the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2, an outdoor sports watch rated for 150-meter diving with sonar-based underwater communication. The Huawei Watch D2 blood pressure smartwatch is now available in blue as well.

The pricing for the Huawei Watch GT6 series starts from £229 for the regular model and £329 for the Huawei Watch GT6 Pro. Early buyers can avail of a £30 discount, exclusive to the Huawei Store. Pricing for the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 was not provided ahead of the announcement, hinting at a potentially more limited release that may not include the UK market.
