‘Iyanu’ Renewed for Season 2 at Cartoon Network and HBO Max

Iyanu and her band of misfits are set to return for more thrilling adventures in the animated fantasy series based on Roye Okupe’s Nigerian graphic novel. Cartoon Network and HBO Max have officially announced the renewal of “Iyanu” for Season 2, along with two feature spin-offs set in the same universe.
Season 2 of “Iyanu” is scheduled to premiere in 2026 with ten exciting episodes. The storyline will follow Iyanu as she navigates a conflict between Elu and the People of the Deep, led by a formidable new opponent. As various factions in Yorubaland compete for powerful divine artifacts, Iyanu must find a way to end the war and restore peace.
The series has garnered significant success, ranking as the No. 1 series among kids 2-12 on Cartoon Network and a top 10 kids & family series on HBO Max. With over 525,000 viewers to date, “Iyanu” has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide.
