Once Upon a Farm, the children’s organic food company co-founded by actress Jennifer Garner, saw a successful debut on the New York Stock Exchange with an $844.9 million valuation. The company’s shares opened 17% above the offer price, reflecting investor confidence.
The Berkeley, Calif.-based company’s stock opened at $21 per share, surpassing the $18 offer price. Once Upon a Farm and its backers sold approximately 11 million shares within the marketed range of $17 to $19, raising about $198 million in the process.
Consumer-focused companies are showing increased optimism about the IPO market this year, following a slowdown due to President Trump’s tariffs in the previous year.
Once Upon a Farm was founded in 2015 by Cassandra Curtis and Ari Raz. Garner and John Foraker, former CEO of Annie’s, joined as co-founders two years later. The company offers a range of packaged food for children, catering to various age groups with products like cold-pressed pouches, pantry snacks, frozen meals, and oat bars.
