MAGA ‘Shark Tank’ Star Kevin O’Leary Forces Fox News Into A Rare On-Air Move

Anchors from both Fox News and Fox Business issued rare on-air apologies for unsupported claims made by Donald Trump-supporting “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary regarding opposition to his data center project in Utah.

During the broadcast of “The Big Weekend Show” on Saturday, host Johnny “Joey” Jones apologized for O’Leary’s comments made on May 24:

“He made certain claims about the opponents of his project. Mr. O’Leary has now corrected the record and stated that he has ‘no evidence’ that the Alliance for a Better Utah, Josh Kanter, or Taylor Knuth are funded by China or the Chinese Communist Party. Fox News Media has found no evidence to support these claims. We apologize for the error.”

Former Trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany issued the apology on “Saturday in America.”

The apology was also featured on Fox Business during Maria Bartiromo’s “Mornings With Maria” on Friday and on “The Big Money Show.”

O’Leary also posted his own clarification on X on Thursday, stating:

“Recently, I appeared on various news programs and would like to clarify that I have no evidence that Alliance for a Better Utah, Elevate Strategies, Gabrielle Finlayson, Taylor Knuth, or Josh Kanter are funded by China or the Chinese Communist Party.”
