‘Menace II Society’ Actor Samuel Monroe Jr.’s Family Gets More Bad Medical News

Samuel Monroe Jr., famously known for his role in the iconic ’90s film “Menace II Society,” is currently fighting for his life in a Los Angeles hospital. His wife, Shawna Stewart, revealed to TMZ that Samuel is on life support and battling meningitis, along with a recent diagnosis of MRSA pneumonia, a severe lung infection.

Despite being put on additional antibiotics, there are limited treatment options available for Samuel at this time. The actor has been on life support for the past four days, with the prognosis remaining uncertain.

Shawna shared that Samuel’s health struggles began around 18 months ago when he contracted meningitis while filming a movie in Las Vegas. Due to repeated misdiagnoses, his condition worsened over time.

In an effort to cover Samuel’s escalating medical expenses, his family has set up a GoFundMe page. The donations received will go towards his medical bills and providing for his children, Kingston and Brooklynn, during this challenging period. Notable figures like Big Boy have already contributed to the cause.

Samuel Monroe Jr. has an extensive acting career, appearing in various films and TV shows such as “Tales from the Hood,” “Set It Off,” “The Players Club,” “Out All Night,” and “NYPD Blue.” He also had a role in the Wayans Brothers’ comedy “Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood,” a parody of ’90s crime dramas set in Los Angeles.

The entertainment industry and fans alike are rallying behind Samuel Monroe Jr. during this difficult time, hoping for his recovery and showing support for him and his family.
