Morris and Ferreira score goals, Thomas has 5 saves as Sounders beat Dallas 2-1
Jordan Morris led the Seattle Sounders to a 2-1 victory over FC Dallas with a goal and an assist in a thrilling match on Saturday night.
The Sounders, who are now 6-1-1 and unbeaten in their last six games, got off to a strong start when Jesus Ferreira scored in the 15th minute off a cross from Morris. Morris then extended the lead to 2-0 in the 30th minute, as he capitalized on a through ball from Snyder Brunell and coolly flicked a shot into the net.
FC Dallas fought back in the 40th minute when Nolan Norris scored his first career goal with a header off a corner kick from Santiago Moreno, making it 2-1. Despite their efforts, Dallas (3-3-4) couldn’t find an equalizer and are now winless in four straight matches.
Seattle’s goalkeeper Andrew Thomas put in a solid performance with five saves, while Dallas’ Michael Collodi made four saves to keep his team in the game.
Overall, it was a hard-fought match between two talented teams, but the Sounders ultimately came out on top thanks to the contributions of Morris and Ferreira. Seattle will look to continue their impressive form in the coming weeks, while Dallas will aim to turn things around and get back to winning ways.
