‘Off Campus’ Series Adaption at Amazon Adds Seven to Cast

Amazon’s adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s “Off Campus” book series has announced the addition of seven series regulars to its cast, as reported by Variety. The show, which was first revealed in October, has cast a talented group of actors including Ella Bright, Belmont Camelli, Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Josh Heuston, and Stephen Kalyn.
The series, based on Kennedy’s popular books, will follow the story of an unlikely romance between a music major who despises hockey (played by Ella Bright) and the playboy star center of Briar University’s elite ice hockey team (played by Belmont Camelli). The show will explore themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery as the characters navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood while forming deep friendships and enduring bonds.
The first season of the series will be adapted from Kennedy’s first book in the series, titled “The Deal,” which was originally published in 2015. Louisa Levy is responsible for adapting the books for the screen and will also serve as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Gina Fattore. The executive producing team includes Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman, Leanna Billings via Billings Productions, Neal Flaherty, and Silver Tree. Annika Patton from Temple Hill is a producer on the project, with Kennedy herself serving as a producer alongside Amazon MGM Studios.
The newly announced cast members are sure to bring these beloved characters to life on screen, and fans of the book series are eagerly anticipating the premiere of the show. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting adaptation!
