‘One Piece’ Renewed for Season 3, Netflix Drops First-Look at Season 2

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the popular manga and anime series “One Piece” has received an early Season 3 renewal, exciting fans around the world. The announcement was made during the annual One Piece Day celebration in Tokyo, where it was also revealed that Ian Stokes would be joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner for Season 3. Stokes, who previously served as a co-executive producer on Season 1, will bring his expertise to the upcoming season. Production for Season 3 is set to begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.

While Season 2 of “One Piece” does not have a premiere date yet, it is expected to return to Netflix in 2026. The streaming platform has also released several first look images from the upcoming season, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect.

Titled “One Piece: Into the Grand Line,” Season 2 will see Luffy and the Straw Hats embarking on a new adventure in the legendary Grand Line. As they navigate through this treacherous sea in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they will encounter new enemies and face even greater challenges.

The cast of the series includes Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Season 2 will also introduce new characters played by actors such as David Dastmalchian, Katey Sagal, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Joe Manganiello.

The show has seen changes in its showrunner lineup over the seasons, with Matt Owens and Steven Maeda originally developing the series. Tracz took over as co-showrunner for Season 2, and now Stokes will join him for Season 3. The collaboration between Netflix, Shueisha, Tomorrow Studios, and ITV Studios has brought the beloved manga to life on screen, with Eiichiro Oda serving as an executive producer.

The first look images from Season 2 promise an exciting continuation of the “One Piece” story, with stunning visuals and a talented cast bringing the beloved characters to life. Fans can look forward to more adventures, battles, and surprises as the Straw Hats continue their journey in the Grand Line.
