Owners’ dustup turns to legal duel at Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen

Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen Facing Financial Troubles

Less than two years after being purchased by a trio of business partners, the iconic Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen is reportedly struggling to meet its financial obligations to its landlord, vendors, and employees.

With a history dating back to the 1880s, the rustic Western-themed building located at 28075 Highway 74 has been a staple in the community since the 1970s. The establishment was last sold in late 2023 to JR Iannaccone, Patrick Robson, and Alexandra Robson. Iannaccone, who also owns Bistro Del Lago and JR’s Landscaping & Property Maintenance, expressed concerns about the financial management of the business.

In a recent lawsuit filed by Iannaccone against the Robsons, he alleged that the couple had been using the Little Bear Saloon’s LLC funds for personal expenses, leading to missed payments to vendors, employees, and the landlord. Despite being the treasurer of the LLC, Iannaccone claimed he did not have access to the company’s financial records and had not received any returns on his $100,000 investment.

Seeking to dissolve the LLC and recover his investment, Iannaccone accused the Robsons of civil theft, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duties. The Robsons have not responded to requests for comment, and Iannaccone’s legal team has also remained silent on the matter.

This ongoing legal battle has raised concerns about the reputation of the businesses involved and the future of the historic Little Bear Saloon. As the case unfolds in Jefferson County District Court, the community awaits the outcome of this contentious dispute.
