Please Don’t Destroy Reunites After ‘SNL’ Shake-Up

Please Don’t Destroy, the beloved comedy trio from “Saturday Night Live,” is here to stay. Ben Marshall, Martin Herlihy, and John Higgins reunited in Portland for a live show, affirming their commitment to continue performing together despite recent changes at “SNL.”

During their performance, the trio humorously acknowledged the audience by asking about any significant events from the week. When prompted about the “SNL” shake-up, Higgins enthusiastically declared, “It’s PDD forever, baby!” Marshall echoed his sentiment, emphasizing their enduring partnership.

After four successful seasons creating digital shorts, the group was separated at “SNL” as Marshall joined the official cast, Herlihy remained on the writing staff, and Higgins pursued other acting opportunities. Despite these changes, Marshall expressed his love for his colleagues on Instagram, stating that they are embarking on a new chapter while continuing to collaborate. Higgins also shared his gratitude for his time on the show and excitement for future acting projects.

Please Don’t Destroy was formed in 2017 when Marshall, Higgins, and Herlihy met as students at NYU. They gained recognition by posting sketches on social media during the early days of the pandemic and performing live stage shows. Their talent eventually led them to join “SNL” as writers for the 47th season.

Fans can rest assured that Please Don’t Destroy is not going anywhere, as the trio remains dedicated to entertaining audiences with their unique brand of humor. Stay tuned for more updates on their upcoming projects and performances.
