RTD to help guide fans to Coldplay concert at Empower Field at Mile High

As the Coldplay concert at Empower Field at Mile High approaches, the Regional Transportation District is gearing up for a surge of fans on Tuesday night. The agency is offering assistance to those planning to use public transit to reach the venue.

With the concert venue conveniently located near multiple bus stops and rail stations, public transit is being promoted as a safe and convenient mode of transportation to access the stadium, according to a press release issued by the agency.

To facilitate concertgoers in reaching one of the world’s biggest bands, individuals are encouraged to utilize the agency’s Next Ride trip planning tool by entering “Coldplay” as the destination. The trip planner will display all available transit options, including real-time departure times from the user’s current location to the concert.

Due to the anticipated crowds, the Auraria West Station will be closed from 3:30 p.m. to midnight. Riders are advised to utilize the nearby Empower Field station instead.

Following the Coldplay concert, Post Malone is scheduled to perform at the home of the Denver Broncos on June 15, followed by Metallica later in the month.

Transit riders are reminded to plan ahead and prepare for the large crowds expected on platforms, trains, and buses.
