Samsung Hints There Won’t be a Galaxy S26 Edge

The Galaxy S26 range has been officially unveiled, featuring the usual three starting models. While a Galaxy S26 FE is expected to be released later this year, the fate of the S26 Edge remains uncertain.

In a recent conversation with Samsung, it seems that the slim and sleek S25 Edge may have been a one-time experiment. Kadesh Beckford, Senior Product Manager at Samsung UK, hinted that the company has learned from the Edge model and has implemented those learnings into other devices. This implies that the Edge model may not make a return in 2026.

It was also mentioned that the Galaxy S26 Ultra is now even slimmer than its predecessor, with a built-in S Pen and a new Privacy Display. Despite rumors of poor sales for the S25 Edge, there is still speculation about whether the Edge model will be discontinued or replace the S26+ in the line-up.

Other smartphone manufacturers like Apple and Motorola have been producing ultra-slim devices, leading to further uncertainty about the future of the Edge model. While the S26 Ultra is currently available, customers may have to wait to see if an Edge version will be released in the future.

Beckford emphasized the importance of offering a variety of devices to cater to different customers worldwide. For now, customers can choose from the existing Galaxy S26 models or wait for any potential Edge release. Those interested in the S26 Ultra can read hands-on reviews to make an informed decision. Additionally, a comparison review between the S26 Ultra and the Pixel 10 Pro XL may help customers choose the right device for their needs.
