Shudder Series Ends After Four Seasons
“Creepshow” Comes to an End After Four Seasons
After four seasons of scares and thrills, the macabre anthology series “Creepshow” on Shudder has officially come to an end. A source close to the network has confirmed that the series will not continue beyond its fourth season, which wrapped in 2023 after 23 episodes and two specials.
While there was no official announcement regarding the end of the series, the source revealed that “Creepshow” was always planned to run for four seasons. To ease the disappointment for fans, a Blu-Ray box set containing the entire series, titled “Creepshow Complete Series,” is scheduled for release on Nov. 11.
Based on the 1982 Stephen King and George A. Romero anthology film of the same name, “Creepshow” featured original stories as well as adaptations from renowned authors like King, Joe Hill, and Greg Nicotero. The series boasted a talented lineup of directors including Nicotero, Joe Lynch, and David Bruckner.
Nicotero, known for his work as a special effects guru on “The Walking Dead,” has always held the original “Creepshow” film in high regard. In a statement when the series was first announced, Nicotero expressed his excitement for continuing the tradition of bringing comic book horror to life.
Despite the end of “Creepshow,” Nicotero has a new project in the works with Shudder. “Guts & Glory,” a reality competition show, is set to premiere on Shudder on Sept. 9, offering viewers a fresh dose of entertainment from the acclaimed producer.
