Sports bar-breakfast restaurant hybrid opening in Denver

Jose Reyes Fulfilling His Dream with JP Restaurant and Lounge

Jose Reyes is finally turning his dream into reality with the upcoming opening of JP Restaurant and Lounge in the former Sarto’s space in Jefferson Park. Reyes, a local wedding venue owner, has always had a passion for the restaurant industry.

“About 10 years ago, I had the idea of opening a restaurant,” Reyes shared. “I have experience running several McDonald’s locations and turning them profitable. However, I realized that just a restaurant might not be enough. People always want to drink and watch sports.”

Located at 2900 W. 25th Ave., JP Restaurant and Lounge will offer a variety of bar fare, including wings, tenders, burgers, and Mexican dishes like tacos. The 3,000-square-foot space features two outdoor patios and multiple TVs for patrons to enjoy sports games while dining.

In addition to bar food, Reyes plans to serve breakfast and brunch, filling a gap in the neighborhood for American breakfast options. The menu will include classic dishes like omelets and French toast, as well as Reyes’ favorite, chilaquiles.

Reyes also has plans to open the basement with pool tables and a bar in the future, creating a diverse entertainment space for the community. The lease for the space was signed in mid-June, and Reyes is excited to bring his vision to life in Jefferson Park.

After leaving McDonald’s, Reyes ventured into the auto industry before opening Royal Event Center in Thornton. His journey has now led him to JP Restaurant and Lounge, where he hopes to create a welcoming and community-oriented establishment.

David Schneider of Axio Commercial represented the landlord Jefferson Park LLC in securing the lease for Reyes’ restaurant. The location was chosen after careful consideration of the neighborhood’s vibe and potential for success.
