Steak ‘n Shake’s American flag initiative meets growing appetite for patriotic displays

Steak ‘n Shake Unveils Giant American Flags at Locations Across the U.S.

Steak ‘n Shake recently made headlines by rolling out massive American flags at its various locations as part of a growing trend of businesses embracing patriotic themes.

The chain announced the installation of these Stars and Stripes flags at restaurants across the country, ensuring compliance with local regulations regarding flag size.

“The flag installations have begun at Steak ‘n Shake,” the company shared in a post on X. “Every Steak ‘n Shake is getting the tallest and biggest American flag that local governments will allow! Steak ‘n Shake proudly supports American values and traditions.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Steak ‘n Shake for comment on this initiative but did not receive an immediate response.

This move places Steak ‘n Shake alongside other businesses that have embraced patriotic displays. Camping World, a nationwide retail chain, started incorporating gigantic American flags at its locations in 2014 to honor veterans.

According to the company’s website, these flags range from 30-by-60 feet to 40-by-80 feet and are mounted on 130-foot-tall poles.

CEO Marcus Lemonis stated, “A large percentage of our employees and customers are veterans, and we want to honor them, their dedication to our country, and to our local communities.”

Similarly, Doggett Ford in Texas and Acuity Insurance in Wisconsin have also displayed large American flags at their locations, showcasing their patriotism and respect for veterans.

Wayne Robinson, a Steak ‘n Shake franchisee in Rome, Georgia, has proudly flown a large American flag at his restaurant since its establishment in 2006. The 12 x 25 flag flies on a 40-foot-tall pole.

Experts like David Johnson and Crystal Gorges commend Steak ‘n Shake’s move as a strategic alignment with conservative values and a bold branding statement that resonates with its audience.

Public reactions to the flag installation have been mixed, with some praising the patriotic display while others expressing concerns about the chain’s political messaging.

Notable figures like Elon Musk and James Woods have shown support for Steak ‘n Shake’s initiative, emphasizing the importance of patronizing businesses that celebrate American values.

Overall, the unveiling of giant American flags is the latest in a series of marketing efforts by Steak ‘n Shake as it embraces a more conservative brand image, including recent changes like using beef tallow for french fry cooking oil.
