Stephen Colbert Has 2 Revealing Words For Trump About Melania
Stephen Colbert, host of the “Late Show,” raised a burning question about President Donald Trump’s White House during his show on Thursday night.
“Where is Melania?” he quipped, referring to a new report that suggests the first lady has spent less than 14 days at the White House since Trump assumed office in January.
Colbert highlighted a historian’s observation that there hasn’t been a first lady as low-profile as Melania since Bess Truman.
Injecting humor, Colbert joked about Melania’s two-word slogan.
“Melania was clearly inspired by Mrs. Truman’s famous catchphrase, ‘Be Bess,’” Colbert quipped.
Although Trump claims Melania is rarely seen due to her private nature, Colbert finds it hard to believe.
“Yes, she’s a very private person ― who has film crews following her around for the $40 million documentary about her life,” Colbert remarked.
