Stephen Colbert Taunts Pam Bondi With 5 ‘Heartfelt’ Words

Many of the files released by Bondi were heavily redacted, leaving much of their contents unknown. Bondi was recently removed from her position and released redacted versions of files related to Jeffrey Epstein, a late sex offender who was once close friends with President Donald Trump.

Colbert also joined in by redacting his own message in tribute to Bondi. Holding up a letter with only “Dear Pam” and “Sincerely, Stephen Colbert” visible, Colbert humorously bid farewell to Bondi.

One of the reported reasons for Trump firing Bondi was her handling of the release of the Epstein files, which Colbert found hard to believe. He compared blaming Bondi to saying the lead in “Die Hard” is the dad from “Family Matters.”

Colbert also mocked Trump’s statement that Bondi would be transitioning to a new job in the private sector, jokingly portraying it as a job on a farm upstate. He ended with a quip about finding a new attorney general.
