SVU’ Episode Featuring Timothy Busfield

NBC has made the decision to pull an upcoming episode of “Law & Order: SVU” that was set to feature Timothy Busfield in a guest star role. The episode, titled “Corrosive,” was originally scheduled to air on January 15th, but will now be replaced with the episode that was supposed to air on January 22nd.

Timothy Busfield, known for his role as a judge in the now-shelved episode, has recently come under fire after an arrest warrant was issued for him in New Mexico. The charges against him involve allegations of sexual abuse of a minor, stemming from his time as a director on the Fox drama series “The Cleaning Lady.” One of the twin boys who worked on the show claimed that Busfield had touched his “private areas” when he was seven and eight years old while on set.

In response to these allegations, Warner Bros. Television, the production company behind “The Cleaning Lady,” conducted an internal investigation into Busfield’s behavior. They released a statement emphasizing that the safety and well-being of their cast and crew, especially minors, is their top priority. The studio stated that they take all allegations of misconduct seriously and have systems in place to investigate and take appropriate action when necessary.

This decision by NBC to pull the episode featuring Timothy Busfield reflects a growing awareness and accountability within the entertainment industry towards addressing allegations of misconduct. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of creating a safe and respectful work environment for all individuals involved in the production process.
