‘The House of the Spirits’ Release Date Set for 2026 on Prime Video

Bestselling author Isabel Allende recently announced that the highly anticipated series adaptation of her iconic debut novel, “The House of the Spirits,” is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video next year. The Spanish-language series, consisting of 8 episodes, was revealed at a press conference in Santiago, Chile, where Allende treated attendees to a sneak peek clip.

“The House of the Spirits” chronicles the saga of the Trueba family, spanning generations marked by love, conflict, and social upheaval. The story delves into hidden romances, deep passions, and the impact of a violent revolution as family secrets and struggles culminate in a dramatic confrontation between the patriarch and his granddaughter.

The series boasts a talented cast led by Aline Kuppenheim as Nivea del Valle, Fernanda Urrejola and Sara Becker portraying Blanca Trueba at different stages of her life. Alfonso Herrera takes on the role of Esteban Trueba, while Nicole Wallace and Dolores Fonzi play Clara del Valle in various phases of her life.

Allende participated in a panel discussion alongside showrunners Francisca Alegria, Urrejola, and Andrés Wood to discuss the adaptation process of her novel into a series. With over 70 million copies sold worldwide, “The House of the Spirits” is hailed as one of the most significant novels of the 20th century.

The production of the series is in the capable hands of FilmNation, known for their Academy Award-winning projects “Anora” and “Conclave,” with support from Fabula, the production company of Pablo and Juan de Dios Larrain, renowned for their Oscar-winning films. Allende, along with Eva Longoria and Courtney Saladino, serves as executive producers for the series.

Fans can look forward to watching “The House of the Spirits” exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. The series joins a growing lineup of Latin American Amazon Original productions, including “Betty La Fea: La Historia Continúa,” “Desconectados 2: Reconectados,” “Vencer o Morir,” “Menem,” and “Sayen.”
