These two products sold at Walmart are being recalled over safety concerns

Walmart is recalling two products due to safety concerns, as announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. One of the products being recalled is the Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stove. The CPSC has warned that the stove poses a risk of exploding or catching fire, which could result in burn and fire hazards for consumers. Approximately 201,000 dark green Ozark Trail tabletop stoves with model number BG2247A1 and an orange “Ozark Trail” logo on the front are included in the recall. These stoves were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online from March 2023 to October 2025, ranging in price from $8 to $45 each.

The manufacturer of the camping stoves, China Window Industry Co, has received 26 reports of the stoves exploding or catching fire, with 16 of those incidents resulting in injuries such as second-degree burns. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and return it to Walmart for a refund. The recall number for this product is 26-120.

In addition to the camping stove recall, the CPSC has also issued a recall for about 24,300 Outdoor Master children’s helmets. These helmets do not meet safety requirements and may fail to protect the user in the event of a crash, potentially leading to a dangerous head injury. Two models, the OM-TD BIKE and OM-KSKB, sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from June 2024 to February 2025 for $20 to $32 each, are affected by the recall.

The OM-TD BIKE helmet is blue with a dinosaur print, black padding, straps, and buckle, while the OM-KSKB helmet is deep green with black padding, yellow straps, and a black buckle. Consumers are instructed to stop using the recalled helmets immediately and contact Outdoor Master for a refund. The recall number for these helmets is 26-122, and no injuries related to these products have been reported thus far.
