Tosha Morell Builds a Legacy of Protection, Service and Community Empowerment

From a 25-year corporate career to entrepreneurship and nonprofit leadership, Morell is using insurance, education and community service to help families prepare for the future.

For Tosha Morell, service is not simply an extension of her professional life. It is the foundation upon which she has built a career, a business and a growing legacy of community impact.

Morell is the Principal Agent of Diversified Insurance, an independent insurance agency focused on helping individuals, families, seniors, churches and business owners protect their assets and prepare for the unexpected. Through personalized insurance solutions and client education, the agency provides guidance across Medicare, health, life, home, auto and business insurance.

Her journey into entrepreneurship followed a successful 25-year career with Southern Company. After more than two decades in corporate America, Morell made the decision to pursue a different path—one that would allow her to work more directly with people and communities.

That decision ultimately led to the creation of Diversified Insurance.

Today, Morell has developed a particular passion for working with senior citizens, helping them better understand healthcare and retirement-related insurance options that can often feel overwhelming.

Rather than viewing insurance simply as a financial transaction, Morell approaches the industry through education and relationship-building.

Her philosophy is straightforward: insurance represents more than a policy. It represents a promise to protect families, preserve legacies and provide peace of mind.

Empowerment Beyond Business

Morell’s commitment to service extends well beyond the insurance industry.

She is the Founder of House of Empowerment, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on restoring hope, empowering women and strengthening communities through mentorship, faith-based programming and community outreach.

Through the organization, Morell works to encourage women to identify their purpose, strengthen their confidence and develop the tools necessary to create meaningful personal and professional lives.

Her work reflects a broader belief that leadership is not simply about personal achievement, but about creating opportunities for others to move forward.

Mentorship has become an important part of that mission, particularly for women seeking guidance, encouragement or a stronger sense of direction.

A Commitment to Community Leadership

Morell’s involvement throughout the community reaches across professional development, youth advocacy, service organizations and charitable work.

She is an active member of the American Business Women’s Association, where she serves as Professional Development Chair, and is also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and the Urban Outreach Association.

Her community involvement also includes serving as a Communities In Schools of Henry County Champion, supporting efforts designed to help young people succeed academically and personally.

Morell also serves as a Make-A-Wish Foundation Wish Granter, helping create meaningful experiences for children facing critical illnesses and their families.

Together, those roles illustrate a leadership philosophy centered on direct participation rather than simply lending a name to a cause.

Whether working with families seeking insurance protection, mentoring women or volunteering with community organizations, Morell has consistently focused on helping people feel better prepared for the next chapter of their lives.

Family, Faith and Legacy

Away from her professional and community responsibilities, family remains an important part of Morell’s life.

She and her husband, Calvin, have been married for nearly 30 years and are the parents of two accomplished adult children.

She also enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach and continuing to find new ways to serve and mentor others.

Across each area of her life, Morell’s work is connected by a common thread: faith, service, leadership and compassion.

Her transition from a 25-year corporate career into entrepreneurship demonstrates what can happen when professional experience is combined with a larger sense of purpose.

Through Diversified Insurance, House of Empowerment and her work throughout the community, Morell continues to build something larger than a business.

She is building a legacy centered on protection, preparation and empowerment—one family and one community at a time.
