Trump Hijacks Sean Hannity’s Policy Question With Rant About Female Reporter

During his two-day summit in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Trump discussed progress in talks with China on trade, tariffs, and intellectual property. However, he couldn’t resist taking a swipe at CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell, whom he had previously criticized during an interview for “60 Minutes” in April.

Trump referred to O’Donnell as a “very bad, stupid reporter,” calling her average and implying that anyone off the street could do her job just as well. He then explained that during the interview, she had asked him about China’s actions, to which he responded by pointing out that both countries engage in spying on each other.

Despite the dig at O’Donnell, Trump emphasized the importance of addressing China’s behavior, which he claimed has been ongoing for 50 years. The president’s comments to Sean Hannity shed light on his approach to handling sensitive diplomatic issues while also taking jabs at his perceived adversaries in the media.
