Viral security app Protector launches corporate service

Protector Corporate, a new service tailored for businesses, is being launched by the Protector app, which gained popularity for offering on-demand security guards for personal safety or a celebrity-like experience. The decision to expand comes in response to the increased demand for security services following a tragic shooting incident in a Park Avenue skyscraper in July that resulted in the death of four workers.

Founder and CEO of Protector, Nick Sarath, mentioned, “We’ve observed a significant rise in inquiries following that incident. High-profile events like this underscore how rapidly situations can escalate, leading executives and companies to invest in proactive protection and medical readiness.”

The Protector app went viral earlier this year after influencers posted about it. PROTECTOR

The app was initially launched in Los Angeles and New York earlier this year and gained widespread attention after influencers, Josie Francis and Nicole Agner, shared their experience of hiring bodyguards for New York Fashion Week. Their viral video garnered over 10 million views.

While some users utilized the service for a celebrity-like experience, it resonated with individuals and businesses alike as the need for personal safety measures continues to grow.

According to Sarath, Protector Corporate offers more than just basic security services.

“We introduced this service in response to companies seeking professionals capable of real intervention rather than just a visible guard presence,” he explained.

“Our teams consist of law enforcement officers and military personnel, including veterans from the New York City Police Department, SWAT teams, and elite military units such as the US Air Force Pararescue and Navy SEALs. Their expertise covers a wide range of areas including sniper operations, breaching, canine handling, military police investigations, convoy security, and personal security detail (PSD) operations.”

Protector’s corporate service has already secured clients for long-term contracts, but it is also available for one-time events with short notice. The cost for individual services, including a guard and driver, starts at $200 per hour, while for corporations, the expenses are significantly higher.
