Will Ferrell’s New Netflix Series Adds Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, and David Hornsby to Cast
Will Ferrell‘s upcoming Netflix series set in the world of golf is rounding out its cast, as reported by Variety. Joining the comedy show alongside previously announced cast members Ferrell, Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, and Fortune Feimster are Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, and David Hornsby. The show, which was originally announced in May 2024, has exact plot details that are being kept under wraps, with the only known fact being that Ferrell will play a fictional golf legend.
Chris Parnell will portray Anton, a PGA Tour board member and all-around jerk. This role marks a reunion for Parnell, Ferrell, and Shannon, who were all castmates on “Saturday Night Live.” Parnell is also known for his roles on shows like “30 Rock” and for lending his voice to animated series like “Rick and Morty” and “Archer.”
Katelyn Tarver will take on the role of Natalie, a social media influencer and Lance’s (Jimmy Tatro) extremely supportive fiancée. Tarver’s past TV credits include the HBO series “Ballers” as well as shows like “Big Time Rush,” “The Secret Life of an American Teenager,” and “Famous in Love.”
David Hornsby is set to play Radford, a rich southern man who is dating Stacy (Molly Shannon). Hornsby is best known for his work on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” where he serves as a writer and executive producer while also appearing in the recurring role of Cricket. He also starred in the Apple TV+ comedy series “Mythic Quest,” which recently concluded after four seasons.
Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of the series, marking Ferrell’s first TV starring role. In addition to Ferrell, executive producers include Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions, and Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue for T-Street. Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green, and Andrew Guest will also serve as executive producers.
