Winning numbers drawn for massive $1.8B Powerball jackpot

The Powerball jackpot has reached an astounding $1.8 billion after more than three months without a big winner. This makes it the second-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history, creating a frenzy among hopeful players.

The winning numbers for Saturday night’s drawing are 11, 23, 44, 61, and 62 with Powerball 17. The estimated cash value for the jackpot, if a winner chooses a lump sum payment, is $826.4 million before taxes. However, winners also have the option to receive the full estimated $1.8 billion as an annuitized prize, which includes one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

The current streak of 42 drawings without a jackpot winner has tied the record for the most consecutive drawings without a winner in Powerball history. Tickets for the Powerball draw cost $2 each and are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9.

Drawings for the Powerball are broadcast live from Tallahassee, Florida, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. They are also streamed live on Powerball.com for those who want to follow along.

The top 10 U.S. lottery jackpots include the current $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot, as well as other significant amounts from previous years. The largest jackpot on record was $2.04 billion in November 2022, followed by the current Powerball jackpot and a $1.76 billion Powerball jackpot in October 2023.

With such a massive prize at stake, players across the country are trying their luck in hopes of becoming the next Powerball jackpot winner. The anticipation is high as the drawing date approaches, and the excitement continues to grow with each passing day.
