Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Launches as key rival to Galaxy Z Flip 7
Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Mix Flip 2, a sleek and powerful new flip phone that is set to rival the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 from Samsung. The Mix Flip 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and boasts a massive 5,165mAh battery, making it stand out among its competitors. In comparison, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra has a 4,700mAh battery, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to come with a 4,300mAh cell. Additionally, the Mix Flip 2 supports impressive 67W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
One of the standout features of the Mix Flip 2 is its Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is complemented by a dual VC 3D cooling system and either 12 or 16GB of RAM. Users can choose from storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. The phone features two displays – a 6.86-inch 120Hz AMOLED inner screen with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, and a 3.5-inch 120Hz AMOLED outer screen.
In terms of design, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is impressively slim at 7.57mm and weighs 199g. It is available in four stylish colors: White, Purple, Green, and Checkered Gold. The phone’s camera setup includes a main 50Mp camera with a Light Fusion 800 image sensor and a Leica Summilux optical lens, along with a 50Mp ultra-wide camera. The front-facing camera is a 32Mp selfie shooter.
While the Mix Flip 2 has been announced for the Chinese market, there is no information on a potential global launch yet. Xiaomi stated, “We don’t have any updates yet for the international markets regarding today’s announcements.” The starting price for the Mix Flip 2 is 5,999 RMB (approximately £608), but pricing may vary if and when the phone is released in other markets.
