‘Young Sheldon’ Star Iain Armitage to Guest Star on ‘Ghosts’
Iain Armitage, known for his role in the hit series “Young Sheldon,” is making a return to CBS in a guest-starring role in the comedy “Ghosts.” In this upcoming episode, Armitage will be playing a heightened version of himself, participating in a high-stakes poker game at the mansion. The episode is currently in production and is set to air on April 16, 2026.
Armitage rose to fame during his seven-season stint on “Young Sheldon,” a prequel to “The Big Bang Theory,” which concluded in May 2024. Prior to this, he made his mark in HBO’s “Big Little Lies” and has also appeared in various films such as Netflix’s “Our Souls at Night” and Lionsgate’s “The Glass Castle.” He has also lent his voice to animated projects like “Scoob!” and “Paw Patrol.”
The talented young actor has garnered critical acclaim, receiving nominations for a Critics Choice Award for lead in a comedy series and a Teen Choice Award in the breakout TV star category. Additionally, he was part of the ensemble cast of “Big Little Lies,” which earned a SAG Award nomination for best ensemble.
“Ghosts,” now in its fifth season, features a talented ensemble cast including Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Brandon Scott Jones, among others. The show is produced by CBS Studios, Lionsgate Television, and BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions, with showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman at the helm.
