2027 Grammy Awards announce key dates: What to know
The anticipation for the 2027 Grammy Awards is building up as music lovers gear up for another spectacular event. Scheduled to take place on Feb. 7, 2027, the 69th annual ceremony will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. This exciting news was officially announced during the Disney Upfront presentation in New York.
One of the major changes for the 2027 Grammys is the shift to a new broadcasting home. ABC will now be airing the prestigious awards show, following a 10-year deal between the network and the Recording Academy starting next year. This move marks a departure from CBS, which has been the home of the Grammys since 1973. With ABC now hosting the Grammys, the network will be at the forefront of three major events, including the Oscars and the Super Bowl.
Nominations for the 2027 Grammys will be unveiled on Nov. 16, with albums released between Aug. 31, 2025, and Aug. 28, 2026, eligible for consideration. This means that highly anticipated albums such as Justin Bieber’s “Swag II,” Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl,” Rosalía’s “Lux,” Bruno Mars’ “The Romantic,” and Harry Styles’ “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” could be vying for top honors.
Fans can also look forward to Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming third album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” being in contention for a Grammy. The voting process will consist of a first round from Oct. 12 to Oct. 22, followed by a final round between Dec. 10 and Jan. 7.
In a statement, Recording Academy CEO and President Harvey Mason Jr. expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, highlighting the Grammy Awards as a celebration of music that resonates with people around the world. He emphasized that this new chapter for the Grammys with a new broadcasting partner signifies the beginning of an exciting journey, with even greater things on the horizon.
Stay tuned for more updates and announcements as we countdown to the 2027 Grammy Awards, where the best in music will be honored and celebrated on a global stage.
