2 men stab each other with machete on NYC street

Two men were involved in a violent altercation with a machete on the streets of Upper Manhattan late Sunday night, resulting in serious injuries for both individuals. The incident took place at around 11:40 p.m. on Nagle Avenue near Thayer Street in Fort George.
According to police reports, a 60-year-old man sustained a stab wound to his neck, while a 40-year-old man suffered cuts on his arm and stomach during the confrontation. Sources indicated that both men appeared to have inflicted injuries on each other with the machete.
Initially, a 911 call reported the incident as a shooting, but upon arrival, authorities discovered that the men had actually been stabbed. Both individuals were rushed to Harlem Hospital for treatment, where the older man is in critical condition and the younger man is in stable condition.
Photographs from the scene captured the machete lying on the ground, with its handle on the sidewalk and the blade extending into the street. The area was scattered with bloody towels and clothing, as well as discarded medical gloves.
The motive behind the violent altercation remains unclear, and no charges have been filed in connection with the incident. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the machete fight on the streets of Upper Manhattan.
