While industry experts like Dennis Speigel, founder and CEO of International Theme Park Services, don’t believe Epic Universe will overshadow Disney, they do anticipate that it will make a significant impact. The development of Epic Universe is estimated to have cost NBCUniversal’s parent company around $7.7 billion, with Comcast reporting $8.6 billion in theme park revenue in 2024. With projections of drawing at least 6 million visitors annually, Epic Universe is poised to become a major player in the theme park industry.

The new park is expected to breathe new life into Orlando’s economy, which thrives on tourism. In 2024, the city welcomed over 75 million visitors, solidifying its reputation as The Amusement Capital of the World. Ticket prices for Epic Universe start at $139 for adults and $134 for children, with variations based on the day of visit. Park hours typically range from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST, but may vary daily, so guests are advised to check the schedule before planning their visit.
