Stand Up Comedian Earthquake to Develop Fox Sitcom with Bill Burr

Fox is gearing up for an exciting new project that is sure to shake things up. According to Variety, the network is collaborating with the talented stand-up comedian Earthquake, whose real name is Nathaniel Stroman, to develop a half-hour sitcom based on his life.

The project has received a script commitment from Fox, although a writer has not yet been attached to the show. Earthquake will not only star in the sitcom but will also serve as an executive producer alongside his manager, Jermaine Smith. Additionally, Bill Burr and Mike Bertolina will executive produce through their production company North Hill Productions, with Dave Becky executive producing for 3 Arts Entertainment. The show will be produced by Fox Entertainment Studios and distributed by FOX Entertainment Global.

Earthquake has been a fixture in the comedy scene for nearly three decades, with multiple comedy specials under his belt. Some of his notable specials include “About Got Damm Time,” “From the Outhouse to the Whitehouse,” “These Ain’t Jokes,” and “Chappelle’s Home Team – Earthquake: Legendary.” He has also made appearances on popular shows like BET’s “Comic View,” HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” and “Shaq’s All-Star Comedy Jam.” In addition to his stand-up career, Earthquake has acted in various TV shows such as “Everybody Hates Chris,” “Rel” (another Fox show), “South Side,” and “The Neighborhood.” Currently, he hosts “Quake’s House” on Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network on Sirius XM Channel 96 while continuing to tour as a stand-up comedian.

Earthquake is represented by WME and 3 Arts, showcasing the strong support behind his career. Burr and Bertolina, the founders of North Hill Productions, have been making waves in the industry since 2024. Their impressive portfolio includes Burr’s Hulu stand-up special “Drop Dead Years,” the film “Old Dads” written, directed, and starring Burr, “Drugstore June” featuring Esther Povitsky, and the documentary “Patrice O’Neal: Killing is Easy.”
