UK police probe Bob Vylan festival chants against Israeli military; US revokes visas

LONDON — British authorities have initiated a criminal investigation following a controversial performance at the renowned Glastonbury Festival by rap punk duo Bob Vylan. The duo faced backlash for inciting crowds to chant “death” to the Israeli military during their performance.

In response to their actions at Glastonbury, the U.S. State Department has revoked the U.S. visas of Bob Vylan, who were scheduled to tour the United States later this year, citing their “hateful tirade.”

The lead vocalist of Bob Vylan, known as Bobby Vylan, led the audience in chants advocating for a free Palestine and expressing animosity towards the IDF, Israel’s Defense Forces, at the festival.
