Luca Bernabei Steps Down as Lux Vide CEO
Luca Bernabei has announced his resignation as CEO of Lux Vide, the renowned Italian production company known for hit shows like “Medici” and “Devils.” Lux Vide, which was acquired by Fremantle three years ago, has been expanding its presence in the U.S. and international markets with premium content.
Under Bernabei’s leadership, Lux Vide has seen success with projects like the U.S. remake of “Doc” and upcoming series “Hotel Costiera” and “Sandokan.” However, Bernabei’s departure from Fremantle-owned Lux Vide comes as a surprise, with no specific reason provided for his decision to step down.
Following Bernabei’s exit, his sister Matilde Bernabei, a co-founder of Lux Vide, has been appointed as the company’s president. Matilde, who has played a key role in Lux Vide’s success over the years, will lead the management board alongside a team of experienced professionals.
The new Lux Vide management board includes Valerio Fiorespino, interim COO and CEO of Fremantle Italy Group, Elena Bucaccio, head of drama at Lux Vide, and other industry experts who will work closely with Matilde Bernabei to drive the company forward.
In a statement, Matilde expressed her enthusiasm about the new management team and their collaboration with Fremantle. She highlighted the strong partnership between Lux Vide and Fremantle, which has enabled the production of successful international projects like “Hotel Costiera” and “Sandokan.”
With a focus on taking Lux Vide to new heights, Matilde emphasized the importance of Fremantle’s support and the team’s dedication to creating high-quality content. As the company embarks on this new chapter, the stage is set for continued growth and success in the global entertainment industry.
